‘Ang ama niya user, mga uncle mga pusher’ – PNP Chief Ronald dela Rosa Claims Kian Was a Drug Courier
- Netizens have been vocal and divided over the sketchy details concerning the slaying of grade 11 student Kian Loyd delos Santos
- PNP Chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa claims that Kian was a drug mule for his father and uncles.
- Find out what Chief Dela Rosa had to say about the unfortunate circumstances surrounding this slaying.
The controversial war on drugs continues with the recent death of grade 11 student Kian Loyd Delos Santos, sparking outrage among netizens. However, in a recent interview with ABS-CBN News via phone call, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Ronald dela Rosa alleges that Kian was a drug courier according to his intelligence reports gathered from the Caloocan City police.
Chief “Bato” also added that the reports say that Kian’s father was the neighborhood bully, which is why some of their neighbors were afraid to speak out on them.
And we all know how bad a situation can get if people are too afraid to speak out against injustice.
“Si Kian ay ginagamit ng kanyang ama. Ang ama niya mismo ang user, mga uncle ang mga pusher diyan at ginagamit si Kian na courier. Kaya nag-surface ang pangalan niya sa area mismo,” the PNP Chief Bato said.
“Pati ang intelligence community natin na nagko-conduct ng operation plan sa Caloocan mismo, ang mga kapitbahay doon takot mismo na magsalita ng against sa kanila dahil kilalang siga ang ama pati mga uncle niyan, siga sa lugar. Yan ang nasasagap ng ating mga intel operatives diyan sa area,” he added.
While Chief Dela Rosa was dismayed at the death of the alleged teen suspect, he says that the police operation was a legitimate action because his intelligence reports say that Kian Loyd Delos Santos was pushing illegal drugs.
“Dismayed ako sa outcome ng operation, bakit napatay ang bata, pero hindi ako dismayed sa operation itself dahil meron naman talagang basehan ang operation na itinuturo talaga si Kian ay source ng droga doon sa area,” he said.
Further, Dela Rosa says that Kian was simply a victim of his father and uncles’ crimes.
“Biktima lang ang bata at ginagamit ng ama. Bigyan siya ng pagkakataon na magbagong-buhay at matuto na mali ang ginagawa niya. Sumusunod siya sa utos ng kanyang pusher na ama. Bata pa, magbago pa yan,” he added.
Calling the situation an “isolated case”, Chief Ronald dela Rosa said he has ordered the immediate investigation by the PNP-Internal Affairs Service (PNP-IAS) over the recent tragedy.
After relieving the 4 policemen involved in the shooting of Kian Loyd Delos Santos, Dela Rosa wishes to repeat himself by saying he won’t allow abuses from his men.
“I want to reiterate I do not tolerate abuses from my personnel, from my men. So much so that our internal cleansing program having breakthrough, na masisira naman dito kung talagang ma-establish na may pang-aabusong ginawa ang pulis Caloocan,” he said.
As it stands, estimated thousands of people have been victim to so-called extra judicial killings (EJK)during this war on drugs. Many of those allegedly slain were not given the due process afforded to them by the law.
When the bodies stop falling, only time can tell.
